This data sharing platform is an output of the project on Mitigation Options to Reduce Methane Emissions in Paddy Rice developed by the International Rice Research Institute with supports from the CGIAR Research Program on Climate Change, Agriculture and Food Security (CCAFS) and the Climate and Clean Air Coalition to Reduce Short-Lived Climate Pollutants (CCAC). The project aims to support large-scale mitigation through national plans and development programs to reduce methane (CH4) emission from rice production systems in Bangladesh and Vietnam.
This platform integrates databases and tools that support the planning and implementation of NAMA in the respective countries. Some of the tools and guidelines can be adapted to other countries/regions as well.
